 What: Choir Tour

Where: Washington D.C. and New York City

·                     When: June 1-8 Summer 2009  

·                     Monday     Leave Iowa

·                     Tuesday     Arrive in D.C., overnight

·                    Wednesday     D.C. touring

·                     Thursday     Leave for New York . Evening in N.Y.

·                     Friday   N.Y. touring

·                     Saturday   N.Y. touring

·                    Sunday    Head home

·                     Monday  Arrive in Van Horne   

Who can go?  All members of concert choir, madrigal choir, AND if there is room on the bus yet, any 9-12 vocal music student.

Cost:  $1000 (approx.) for 2009 Trip. This would not cover food, or souvenirs. May want extra money for an extra broadway show on our free day. 

Payment: There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $150 due by October 3.  If you cancel out on the trip, there is NO way to get this money back. This money is used to reserve hotel rooms, tourism tickets and broadway tickets, all of which are non-refundable for us.  We we will be having you make payments throughout the year. There will be a magazine fundraiser to help students off-set the cost.  Remaining payments are due in January, March, and May 

Performances: We are in the process of lining up performances in the D.C. and New York area. Possible sites include the National Cathedral, WW II Memorial, steps of the Lincoln Monument , Statue of Liberty and a church in New York City on Sunday morning (last day in NYC)

Cost of tour includes:
Deluxe Motorcoach Transportation, T.V.’s and VCR’s/DVD's on busses

2 overnight accommodations in D.C.

3 overnight accommodations in New York City

Washington D.C. touring MAY include:

 Capitol building, Smithsonian, Holocaust museum,   Arlington Cemetery, Mt. Vernon (home of George Washington), Jefferson Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, WW II Memorial, Ford’s Theatre, Embassy Row,  U.S. Capitol, National Cathedral, Air and Space Museum, White House

            New York City Touring MAY include:

Island boat tour, Ellis Island, Driving tour of New York City with a guide, Statue of Liberty, 2 Broadway shows included in price, One free day with Chaperones to explore, one dinner paid (two on your own)
