| Registrations are now being accepted
for the Cedar Valley Show Choir Camp which will be held this Summer in
Blairstown, Iowa. This camp is an introductory experience to the world of
show choir and is open to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grade students from any school
district. Basics will include singing, choreography basics, performance
etiquette, stage presence, microphone technique, vocal production and vocal
care. The rehearsals will be from 1:00-4:00 P.M. every day. Voice lessons
are also available for an additional cost. Click here for registration
form! The group will be limited to 60 participants and registration forms can be obtained from your music teacher, or you can e-mail JHAYDEN@BENTON.K12.IA.US to get the form. The camp instructors are John Hayden from Benton Community High School and Alyssa Stoddard who is also a vocal music educator in the Benton Community School District. The camp will conclude with a concert at Blairstown's "Sounds of Summer" on Friday night of the camp. That will be held at the Blairstown Community Center.
